Maybe this is annoying but I like hearing about "the literary gossip cycle." This app has taught me about several "book beefs" and I like that! (Is there a good newsletter for book gossip?) All that aside, this is a great newsletter, we all love it over here in Grass Valley California and a couple of us at BROWN BANANA BOOKS are reading your books now because we like it so much. You're a good person for standing up for your friend!
@JULIETESCORIA , I appreciate your defense of your friend. There are plenty of unsavory people everywhere it seems. I have only read Blake's "Sky Saw" back in 2012, and though I found some stuff to like in it I still had to abandon the book well before finishing it. I would love to read "Molly," it sounds like my cup of tea, but I do not have the funds to waste on something I would not like. I am tempted to re-post my original review of "Sky Saw" but also do not wish to cause you more pain. My review is actually quite positive even if I did not like the book.
Thank you for sharing this. Had no idea that kind of stuff was going on. Preordered on Amazon a while back but didn't receive notification. Read the excerpt and thought it truthful - the part with the traffic/car helped me deal with my own past where I had acted in a similar way in a car stuck in traffic with someone who was not well, who years later died in hospice. Can't wait to read the book!
